I’m kind of a huge nerd.

I guide vehicles through hyperspace, I work with droids, and I train foundlings.

Hermeus

I recently moved to Atlanta to be a GNC Engineer at Hermeus.

We’re building the first hypersonic passenger aircraft that will get you from New York to Paris in 90 minutes.

Quarterhorse

The first aircraft we are building is called Quarterhorse.

This experimental plane will break the flight airspeed record beating the SR-71 Blackbird (link).

Chimera

Our engine that makes these ludicrous speeds possible is called Chimera.

It’s a hybrid engine - a turbojet and a ramjet - and it breathes fire.

Astrobotic Technology

Before Hermeus, I was a GNC Engineer at Astrobotic.

GNC stands for Guidance, Navigation, and Control. In other words, where is our spacecraft (N)? Where do we want it to go (G)? And how do we get from here to there (C)?

In this case, the destination is simply…to the Moon!

RE2 Robotics

After South America, I was a Control Systems Engineer at RE2 Robotics (pronounced “are-ee-squared”).

I helped build robotic arms for everywhere except the factory floor: aviation, energy, and medical industries in addition to defense.

UTEC

After school, I worked for two years as a mechatronics instructor at a new university in Lima, Peru called la Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología, or UTEC for short.

I have always enjoyed teaching and this was an awesome opportunity to do just that while curing some wanderlust.
